Three small pluteoid fruiting bodies, together with three small fruiting bodies which were in primordial state were collected from the terrarium of „giant katydid” (Stilpnochlora couloniana) from the Capital City Zoo (6-12 Állatkerti Boulevard, 1146 Budapest).

The fruiting body came from a pot of a Polyscias plant species which was bought in a chain store in Hungary. The fruiting body was sent to the the National Food Chain Safety Office, Microbiological National Reference Laboratory, as it was suspected that a child could have eaten from the mushroom that got into their household together with the pot.

The singular specimen of the mushroom fruiting body was given to us by a mushroom collector. The collection took place on the 22nd of November, 2023, near the location of Sukoró in a deciduous forest along with black pines (Pinus nigra) (Figure 1). Based on the macromorphological features (robustness, color scheme) of the lepistoid fruiting body, as well as its scent reminiscent of pear blossoms, we assumed that a fruiting body of the Paralepistopsis amoenolens species could have been collected.
